How to Create Bootable USB Pen drive



Some times our operating System gets corrupted, and the solution to this problem is to download new windows.

And to download new windows requires bootable USB pen drive, Bootable CD-DVD.

Bootable USB is most used for downloading windows to the pc however DVD is also used but comparatively less than USB Flash drive.

 The USB Flash drive should be At least  4 gigabytes to 8 gigabytes  because the windows 10 requires 5 Gigabytes and windows 7 require 4 gigabytes. However, in Linux, it requires only 2 gigabytes. 

In this blog, you will be going to learn how to create a portable pen drive or USB drive for Windows and Linux (Ubuntu).

First, insert USB Flash Drive to USB Port then follow the step given below.
       
Windows

1.Command Prompt in Windows

  •  Open a command prompt from the start menu and run as Administrator. This will open the windows inbuilt disk part utility which is used to manage the storage on your computer.
  • In command prompt panel Enter the command of disk part.
  • This will show the disk which is online in pc or laptop.
  •  Choose your Pendrive and enter the name of your Pendrive disk in the disk part command.
  •  So it will select your drive after selecting the drive.
  •  To format the USB Flash enter the command of clean.
  •  A Type create partition primary and press enter.
  •  Type select partition 1, so it will select the partition that we have created.
  • Type format fs=NTFS quick. This will format the drive as NTFS because  windows use NTFS File system.
  • Type active. It will make the current drive active.
  • Then type exit.
  • Copy all the data of the windows file to your Pendrive.
  • After doing this, reset the pc and after restarting the pc or laptop press F 12 continuously.
  • It will show the drives, select your Pendrive.       

2.Rufus
  •  Run Rufus
  •  Insert your USB Flash Drive.
  •  Select your device.
  •  Browse your Os.
  •  Select partition scheme to MBR.
  •  Select file system to NTFS.
  •  Then nothing to do only click on start.

3.Power ISO
  •  Run Power ISO.
  •  Go to the tool and select the option for creating bootable USB Drive.
  • Then browse the windows iso file.
  • Then select your USB Drive.
  • Click at the start.
  • It will show you all data in the USB Drive will be overwritten click on the yes.
  • It will create the bootable USB Drive.

4.WinUSB

  •  First, download the win USB from this link:-WinUSB
  •  Choose your Pendrive 
  •  If you have to format the drive in initial Choose your os first. 
  •  Then select the type of the windows you have(iso, DVD


Linux (ubuntu)

1.Etcher
  • Select your Linux image file.
  • Select your drive.
  • Flash it.

2.Unetbootin
  • Run Unetbootin.
  • Select the disk image option.
  • Then select the iso file type.
  • Browse the iso image file of Linux.
  • Select type to USB drive.
  • Then browse your drive.
  • Then click on ok.
